TRAVELING SOLO AS A GIRL CAN BE SCARY. HERE'S WHY YOU SHOULD DO IT ANYWAY

We’ve all had that moment: staring at a flight booking screen late at night, heart beating a little fast, wondering, “Am I really doing this alone?”

Taking off to a new country on your own, especially somewhere vibrant, colorful, and culturally rich like Morocco, can feel like a huge leap. It’s completely normal to feel a mix of excitement and a sudden wave of “what if?”

What if I get lost? What if I feel awkward eating dinner alone? What if I don't fit in?

Here’s the secret nobody tells you: the fear usually ends the second your feet touch the ground.

Solo travel doesn't mean you have to figure out every single detail or spend a week eating in silence. In fact, traveling solo is often how you end up making the deepest connections of your life. When you travel alone, you’re completely open to the world around you. You notice the sun warming the terracotta tiles, you listen closer, and you open the door to meeting people you’d never cross paths with at home.

When I first came to Tamraght, it was the warmth of the local community and the slow rhythm of ocean life that made me feel grounded instantly. That exact feeling is why Warda exists.

We created our retreats as a soft landing pad for solo travelers. You get all the freedom, magic, and independence of going on an adventure, but with a built-in group of like-minded girls waiting for you with open arms. You don't have to stress about organizing logistics, booking transport, or navigating new places alone. You just show up, unpack your bags, and settle into a cozy, welcoming space.

Most of the girls who join us arrive on their own. But by night two, sharing family-style meals, laughing over surf mistakes, and chatting under the stars, nobody is a stranger anymore.

If you’ve been waiting for a friend’s schedule to align, or waiting for the "perfect time" to book that trip: this is your gentle sign to just go for it.

Curious about joining us solo? Drop us a line or explore our upcoming retreat, we’d love to welcome you into the family.
