HANDMADE NATURAL DEODORANT: WHAT'S INSIDE AND HOW YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN

Most of us have never really thought about what's inside our deodorant. We grab whatever's on the shelf, and that's that. Making your own changes the question entirely, because suddenly you're the one choosing every ingredient and every scent.

That's exactly what happens in our natural deodorant workshop in Tamraght. Here's what "natural deodorant" means, how we approach it at Warda, and what you'll actually do around the table.

Deodorant or antiperspirant: what's the difference?

The two words get used as if they mean the same thing, but they don't.

  • Antiperspirants are designed to reduce sweating. Most do this with aluminium-based ingredients.

  • Deodorants don't aim to stop you sweating. They're about how you smell.

The deodorant you make with us is aluminium-free. It's a deodorant, not an antiperspirant, so it won't stop you sweating, and it isn't meant to.

What goes into a Warda deodorant

Our deodorants are built on simple, recognisable ingredients: organic plant butters and essential oils. In the workshop we go through what each one brings to the formula, how the texture comes together and how scents are built, so you understand what you're putting on your skin rather than just following a recipe.

A gentle note on scent: essential oils are concentrated, and not every skin loves every oil. If you have sensitive skin or allergies, mention it when you get in touch so we can talk it through before you choose your blend.

Why we make things in small batches

Warda's products are handmade in small batches, and the workshop is that same idea at the scale of one. When you make something yourself, you know exactly what's in it and where it came from. You also get to make it for you: a scent you actually love, not one chosen for a supermarket shelf.

There's a slower kind of satisfaction in it too. Mixing, pouring and waiting for something to set is a small, calm ritual, which is why we think making things with our hands is worth bringing back.

What happens in the workshop

Sit down and get curious

We gather around a big table with everything already prepared. No experience is needed, and the pace is relaxed.

Learn the ingredients

We talk through the plant butters and essential oils, and why simple ingredients are the heart of the formula.

Pick your signature scent

This is the most personal part. You smell, compare and decide on the scent you want to wear every day.

Mix, pour and personalise

You formulate your own stick, pour it into its container and let it set.

Take it home

You leave with your own custom-scented 50ml natural deodorant.
